Programs As part of the group's continuing education program we are currently looking at Windows Server 2012, and Windows 8. We have recently looked at various Linux Distributions, including SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop, Ubuntu and several "Live" Linux CDs. We have completed training materials on Windows 2008 Server and Windows 7 Professional, Cisco CCNA, CompTIA A+ Computer Repair and the Networking Technologies programs in preparation for Networking Technologies and Microsoft Certification exams. We are preparing for the upcoming release of Windows 8.1 aka Windows Blue. It is expected that a preview version will be available toward the the end of June. Created a WAN network, including CISCO routers and a POTS line for the connectivity to demonstrate IP connections across a WAN link. Setuping a Windows Network which included Windows 2008 Server , Windows 7 Pro. Configuring Cisco Switches on a LAN Showed how to configure DHCP on the Windows 2008 r2 Server with a DHCP scope and exclusion range and then had the other systems act as DHCP clients.
